There are also sly winks at the RSC as well - Geoffrey Tennant arriving 
at the first board meeting as artistic director chewing razor blades, 
ala John Barton, references to dramatic theory involving "bare" or 
"empty spaces", and some absolute slams on completely far-out abstract 
interpretations of Shakespeare in completely inappropriate or ridiculous 
time periods. Maybe the next roundtable discussion could dissect the 
series? lol
