Subject:	Richard III Novel?

Can anyone recommend a great classic novel to accompany Richard III in a 
course which examines political ambition? Given the political season, 
especially this Fall, this seems like a good topic.

Someone suggested _All the King's Men_, but a more classical and even 
weighty novel might be better, alongside RIII. Any suggestions are 
warmly appreciated.
