Thanks, Al Magary, for this link. A much fuller treatment than the New York
Times alert about it that just came in. $8 million! To reverse a curse?
For a highly entertaining treatment of this and many other issues verboten on
SHAKSPER, read Jennifer Lee Carrell's _Interred with his Bones_. This book was
announced here last fall when it came out, and later someone asked -- never
answered -- whether it was any good. I always tried to get people to use some
more precise term in describing books, but I can do no better here than use
another book reviewing cliche, and say it's an unputdownable thriller. Carrell
started with the problem of the lost "Cardenio" and in developing it brought in
the authorship question and wove the two together. Ms. Carrell knows her stuff;
she has written on occult Shakespeare and on performance in the Old West.
