Comment: Re: SHK 19.0331 Komar's Measure for Measure
The Internet Movie Database (www.imdb.com) lists it as 'a contemporary
rewriting' of *MforM*; Shakespeare gets 4th writing credit after three adapters.
There are no external reviews, which suggests that it never had a commercial
release. The listed date, by the way, is 2006, not 2007.

Thanks, John.
I believe that if you write to the production company (I don't have the website
handy, but there may be a link on my old blog www.bardcentral.com/blog and I
think they're on MySpace, too), the director will arrange to have a North
American format DVD sent directly to you.
Hope that helps. I'm afraid my data is quickly getting out of date.

As is generally known the DVD of Komar's MEASURE FOR MEASURE is readily
available from UK online retailers (coded Region 2). The press pack can be
downloaded at

007.pdf. The section headed 'Target Demographic' states ". . . It is being
targeted as a teaching tool for schools, with clear education benefits. The
average character age has been lowered to try and increase the relevance for our
younger audience, and the text edited to give a punchy pace to the film
narrative. The language has been kept intact".
