Subject:   Loss of Prof. Alabriola

I don't know if any of you knew him, but tonight the world is diminished 
by the loss of another incredibly good soul. Al Labriola died Wednesday 
morning, and will be sadly mourned and missed by all of us fortunate 
enough to have called him friend, colleague, and teacher.

I have no words with which to mourn his loss, but I feel it deeply and 
profoundly nonetheless.
