by the deadline and we will reserve a
place for you until the rest of your materials arrive.
The British Graduate Conference is run by students for students and is a
unique opportunity to present a paper in a supportive and friendly
environment. We welcome papers on any topic in the areas of Shakespeare
or Renaissance studies. The Shakespeare Institute, in the heart of
Stratford-upon-Avon , is the setting for this exciting conference and
provides a great base from which to visit the RSC, Birthplace houses and
the excellent libraries of the Shakespeare Institute and Birthplace Trust.
Due to increasing popularity it is advisable to get your application in
as soon as possible and the deadline for abstract submissions this year
will be Thursday, 30th April. Abstracts can be sent via email or by
post. We have many exciting plenary speakers including Michael Dobson,
Russ Mcdonald and Grace Ioppolo, with more confirmations on the way, as
well as a panel of guests from the RSC who will be talking about working
in the Courtyard space and the plans for the new RST. We will also be
attending the RSC's production of Julius Caesar.
To register download a form from www.shakespeare.bham.ac.uk/BritGrad
Currently students are unable to pay for the conference online, but if
you have any problems with payment feel free to contact us and we will
try to help.
Attached to this email is a poster which can be used to promote the
conference at your institution.
We are looking forward to seeing you!
Yours,
The BritGrad Committee
