Jim Ryan writes:
"Throughout Much Ado, by means of the incarnating
efficacy of imagination, the word becomes flesh."
It's good to see the imagination making a comeback in the configuration
of all kinds of creative perception in Shakespeare. When I was a student
at York in the early 1980s I wrote my dissertation on precisely this
"incarnating efficacy of the imagination" in Much Ado. I'd be very
interested to see where you're taking the argument, Jim.
