Subject: A Question of Corpses
Hello, all.
I was hoping to get some help on a reference I came across a year or so
ago -- but, unfortunately, at the time didn't see fit to write it down
or make a note of the citation.
I remember reading, somewhere, a first-hand account of how corpses were
staged in the Italian Renaissance theatre (I think the account included
the use of make-up and the technicalities of moving the actor's body
off stage, etc.). If my memory serves me, I came across this account
quoted by a modern scholar.
If anyone has any ideas of where I might find the original account, or
any ideas of where I might find it quoted, I would be so grateful.
Thank you!
Sincerely,
Nicola Imbracsio
