Subject: Temporary Archive of SBReviews
Dear SHAKSPERreans,
The following digest will be the fifth in our new series of SHAKSPER
Book Reviews, peer reviews vetted by the SHAKSPER Book Review Panel,
moderated by Peter Paolucci.
Since I anticipate many long anticipated upgrades in SHAKSPER services,
I am including below links to past reviews in a temporary archive, which
when the site redesign is complete will have a section of their own that
I will be able to keep current without having to bother webmaster Eric
Luhrs.
So the Table of Contents of links to the most recent and all past
reviews is below. As is our procedure, a plain text version of the
review will be included in the following digest, while the link will be
to a formatted pdf version of the file having the appearance of a print
journal-style review.
The following review -- SBReview_5: Lesel Dawson. _Lovesickness and
Gender in Early Modern English Literature_. Oxford: Oxford University
Press, 2008. -- by Eric Langley of University College London is soon to
be followed by others that the SBReview Panel has in the pipeline for
you. As you may recall, we have had some difficulties obtaining
reviewer's copies that has held up delivery on what we hoped was to be a
regular schedule of quarterly releases. The Panel under the able
leadership of Dr. Peter Paolucci is working on those challenges.
Other changes to look forward to are the migration of the list from
commercial DSL to commercial, blazing-fast, Fiber Optics service and to
the redesigned web site, a design that will provide me easier access to
updating and keeping current SHAKSPER archive files.
Slowly but surely,
Hardy M. Cook
Editor of SHAKSPER
