My sense is that Cassius' offences, while repellant to Brutus, certainly
do not warrant execution. Cassius was guilty of mild peculation,
compared to the enormous danger Caesar posed to the Republic. In this
sense Cassius is indeed a 'little man', deserving certainly of
correction, but not execution.
