Subject:    Computer Crash and Other Difficulties

Dear SHAKSPEReans,

FYI: My desktop computer crashed and recovery has been difficult and 
time-consuming. I was engaged in a longish post regarding matters 
associated with my last Thursday's post on the future of listserv 
technology and for various reasons -- the crash and problems with AT&T 
DSL service -- I have not finished and now have to continue to resurrect 
my main computer.

My apologies for this interruption right when I was getting back into a 
more regular groove. I will also report on how I have just, I hope 
temporarily lost 50 members to overzealous anti-spamming technology.

Someday I hope I will better understand why I seem to have so many 
challenges.

PS: I tried to send this message out yesterday, but the account I was 
using was served out (Again, REALLY long explanation), so it was not 
sent. I managed, I think, to recover from the crash, but it will still 
take me a bit before I am back to catching up with digests.
