There are two good audio recordings of the "complete text" -- i.e. a
composite text combining the Folio & the Quarto -- starring Paul
Scofield as Lear. One is from the early '60s and is available only on
audio cassette:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/King-Lear-Unabridged-William-Shakespeare/dp/0001042351/ref=sr_1_10?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1245095022&sr=8-10

The other was made more recently to celebrate Scofield's 80th birthday:

There is also a complete text available on audio from the BBC, with
Corin Redgrave as Lear:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/King-Lear-BBC-Radio-Shakespeare/dp/0563535326/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1245095309&sr=8-1

If you'd like it on DVD, the BBC production directed by Jonathan Miller
and starring Michael Hordern presents a more-or-less complete text:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/King-Lear-BBC-Shakespeare-Collection/dp/B0001Y9Z4M/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&s=dvd&qid=1245095309&sr=8-3

The BBC also recorded an audio performance with John Gielgud to
celebrate Gielgud's 90th birthday, but this seems currently unavailable.
As I remember, this performance used the complete Quarto text.

There's also an old (but very good) BBC audio performance with Alec
Guinness as Lear:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/King-Lear-Starring-Guinness-Collection/dp/0563225629/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1245095732&sr=8-2

And recently, Ian MacKellen's RSC performance, directed by Trevor Nunn,
has also appeared on DVD:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/King-Lear-Starring-Guinness-Collection/dp/0563225629/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1245095732&sr=8-2

Finally, there is a DVD version starring Olivier, but the cuts in the
text are more substantial than in the DVD versions I have mentioned.

Regards,
Himadri
