Subject: Job Announcement: Position at the ANU
The School of Cultural Inquiry at The Australian National University requires a
position in early modern British studies, specifically the drama and theatre of
Shakespeare and his contemporaries with an emphasis on drama and performance.
The appointee will be expected to contribute to undergraduate and postgraduate
teaching in English and Drama/Performance Studies. We would be interested in
applicants with research and teaching interests in early modern drama and
Shakespeare and performance, global Shakespeares, Shakespeare and cultural
studies, Shakespeare performance studies, and multi-media Shakespeare i.e.
Shakespeare in print, the classroom, film, television, video and digital media.
The appointee will be expected to maintain and develop a research profile
commensurate with the level of appointment, and be involved in administrative
roles and community/professional service activities that contribute to the
overall effectiveness and standing of the School.
