Subject: Global Shakespeares Digital Archive
We are pleased to announce that Global Shakespeares
(http://globalshakespeares.org/) has been launched.
This open-access video archive provides global, regional, and national portals
to Shakespeare productions within a federated archive. Users can view and study
annotated and subtitled videos within and across cultures.
There are portals to Shakespeare in the US/UK, the Arab world, India, Brazil,
East Asia, and Southeast Asia.
Members of the advisory board include Michael Best, Barbara Hodgdon, Peter
Holland, Dennis Kennedy, Kate McLuskie, Alfredo Michel Modenessi, Katherine
Rowe, and William B. Worthen. This archive is intended to serve as a core
resource for students, teachers, and researchers.
We invite you to participate in this international research and educational
online community.
