Dear members of ESRA (European Shakespeare Research Association),
The Weimar conference is now only two and a half months away, and many of you will want to make their
travel arrangements and registration payment.
Registration: http://www.shakespeare-gesellschaft.de/en/conferences/upcoming/weimar-spring-
2011/registration.html
Registration deadline: 31 March 2011
Payment: The standard mode of payment for the conference will be by IBAN bank transfer. There will,
however, be a transfer fee. Please note that one of the criteria to keep the Weimar Conference fee as low
as possible was precisely to accommodate additional costs like the IBAN bank transfer fee. For
individuals who have not succeeded in paying their Conference fee, the Conference staff accept cash at
the door. Naturally, -- but please not whole seminars who just find this more convenient.
Requests for accommodation will be handled by the Weimar tourist office
(http://www.weimar.de/nc/en/tourism/homepage/), which can place reservations not only with hotels but
also with bed-and-breakfast-type places. These rooms are considerably cheaper than hotel accommodation
and an excellent option for junior scholars who may be travelling on a budget.
Birgit Kosche at the Weimar office (
