Subject: Consolations of Philosophy
Colleagues,
It seems that in Romeo and Juliet, act 3, scene 3, Friar Lawrence is recommending to Romeo the consolations of philosophy, if not the text of Boethius itself. My quick search of the MLA Bibliography turns up nothing on any relationship between these two texts. Do any listmembers know of any study relating the two texts, Romeo and Juliet and The Consolations of Philosophy?
