Subject: June SAA Bulletin Now Online
This week the SAA mails out its last hard-copy bulletin. The bulletin is also available for downloading at www.ShakespeareAssociation.com, which is where you will find it exclusively in future. As long as your SAA membership is current, you will receive e-mailed notifications of bulletin postings each January and each June. The message will come with a direct link to the bulletin: http://shakespeareassociation.org/bulletin/bulletin0611.pdf.
The bulletin just posted announces a record number of 57 seminars and workshops for the SAA's Fortieth Anniversary Meeting. This will take place on Easter weekend, 5-7 April 2012, at the Westin Copley Place in Boston. The SAA rate at the Westin, $129 per night for single or double occupancy, includes in-room internet access.
Look also for the announcement of a new SAA initiative: a collaboration with the Bogliasco Foundation in sponsoring a research residency at the Liguria Study Center, outside Genoa. SAA members are eligible to apply for a one-month stay during the 2012-13 academic year and for a $1,000 travel stipend.
Please note, too, that the SAA now calls upon its members to help us build a database for publications that had their first airing in SAA seminars and paper sessions. We would be grateful to receive SAA reminiscences, too; we have already begun this archive with memoirs from the founder of the SAA, Leeds Barroll, and its first executive director, Ann Jennalie Cook.
With best regards,
Lena Cowen Orlin
