I am not surprised that Peter Holland disagrees with me; we are rarely in accord. What I don’t understand is why he continues to read my reviews when he knows in advance that he will dislike them. The mystery deepens when one considers the equally unsympathetic (and rather more hostile) Gabriel Egan. Egan has stated in the past that he “usually doesn’t read” my reviews, but it seems that he usually does. One wonders why he doesn’t keep to his resolution, and why Peter Holland doesn’t adopt a similar game-plan. Or am I missing something?
