Subject: An Important Message from Hardy Cook about Your SHAKSPER Membership
I am sorry. I had meant to include a sentence that if you wished to continue to receive SHAKSPER Newsletters that you need do nothing. I have, however, been delighted to hear from so many of you, even though I was not requesting confirmation that you wished to continue.
My e-mail from one of my private accounts did what I had intended it to do: let me hear from addresses that were no longer active, from those who no longer wished to receive mailings, and from those for whatever reason might have not been getting messages delivered to their mailboxes, perhaps because they were directed to the SPAM folder. I have winnowed those accounts from the list as I had wished to do so.
The above reminds me that I need to send out end of the semester messages about “Unsubscribing” should you be leaving or changing an e-mail account, such as graduating from university. Many of the bounced e-mails I received in return were from such no longer active accounts.
Thanks for you on-going support and for tolerating my occasional extraneous e-mails.
