Subject: Re: SHAKSPER: Hollow Crown and the Battlefield Performances
I’m looking forward to the PBS Great Performances broadcasts of the new productions of The Hollow Crown beginning Friday, Sept. 20 (http://www.pbs.org/wnet/gperf/episodes/the-hollow-crown-shakespeares-history-plays/about-the-series/1747/). Fans of HBO’s Game of Thrones should be sure to click on the link for Infographics: Shakespeare’s Game of the Hollow Crown.
I tracked down the videos for the Shakespeare’s Globe battlefield performances this summer (Harry the Sixth, The Houses of York & Lancaster, and The True Tragedy of the Duke of York, performed in Towton, Tewkesbury, St. Albans Cathedral Grounds, and Monken Hadley Common in Barnet) and suffered through the first few minutes of 2H6. The videos can be found at http://thespace.org/ Video feature on the original music: http://thespace.org/items/e0001uc6
Cheers,
