Subject: Dr. Urkowitz Directs....
I realize this posting might not get out to the list before the show
closes, but tonight I had the pleasure of seeing "A Midsummer Night's
Dream," directed by none other than our own Steven Urkowitz.
There's one more show tomorrow evening, Saturday, Oct. 21st, 7pm, at the
City College of New York (performances are at Aaron Hall at 134th Street
and Convent Avenue on the Upper West Side). Admission is free, and it is
an enjoyable evening. The student actors clearly had fun putting this
together, and they put a lot of energy into the work. I also understand
it is Dr. Urkowitz's last directing stint before he retires later this
year (I hope I'm not spilling the beans by saying that), so if you have a
chance to see this, and it's not too late to go before you read this
posting, I would highly
recommend it. Kudos to Steve.
