Subject: Another Hiatus in SHAKSPER
Date: Thu, 3 Oct 91 0:03:04 EDT
Dear Fellow SHAKSPEReans;
This is just a brief announcement, which didn't seem to fit in the
other digests this week. I will unfortunately be away from my
terminal from the morning of Friday October 4th until sometime on
Tuesday October 8th, so please bear patiently the inevitable
hiatus in SHAKSPER mailings during that time. If I am so fortunate as
to be able to manage a TELNET connection from Montreal, I may be able
to catch us up mid-way, but otherwise any messages sent after Thursday
will be sent out Tuesday or Wednesday.
I'd hate to dam the flow of discussion now that the September thaw has
occurred, so just consider this hiatus an opportunity for everyone to
catch up and respond to discussions they might otherwise have missed.
Barring unforeseen catastrophes, any messages sent to SHAKSPER while
I'm away will be waiting for me when I return, so don't feel that you
can't write.
This might also be an opportunity to experiment with the SHAKSPER
Fileserver, the Dartmouth database, and the Choice Book Reviews on
CARL (which I highly recommend -- perhaps more on that soon).
Again, please accept my apologies that the convenience of a moderated
list has temporarily become an inconvenience.
