Some important follow-up information:

OTA Shakespeare Texts:

Lou Burnard informs me that the Oxford Text Archive will now accept
payment for texts in US dollar cheques as well as Pounds Sterling.
Unfortunately, purchase orders and credit cards are NOT acceptable.
[For more information on the special low-price Shakespeare diskettes,
see the file SPECIAL OFFER SHAKSPER on the Fileserver.]

OED2 on CD-ROM:

In addition, Ruth Glynn has asked me to reiterate that the information
I posted last week regarding the forthcoming OED2 on CD-ROM was edited
from private correspondence. Due to an unfortunate misunderstanding,
Dr. Glynn mistook the nature of my query and I mistook the nature of
her response; some information was included in the SHAKSPER posting
which was not intended for public distribution, and for that I wish to
take this opportunity to make a public apology.

I must also urge that no-one redistribute the OED2 posting beyond
the membership of SHAKSPER, as this will only serve to magnify the
repercussions of the misunderstanding.

Also, please do not send queries for further information to
Dr. Glynn's electronic address. The OED2 Project is currently
demanding so much of her attention that individual replies will not be
possible. When an alternate address, or further information, becomes
available, I will summarize it to SHAKSPER.

Thank-you for your cooperation.

					Yours,
