Subject: 8.0913 New Globe

I can't believe that Norm Holland and I saw the same production of Henry
V at the Globe, but we did - 14 June, 3.00pm as part of the Festival of
Firsts. I loved it and found Mark Rylance extremely moving and
effective. Just a few errors to correct: each production is directed by
a different person and Mark Rylance cannot take all the praise/blame for
individual responses.

The director of this production of Henry V was Richard Olivier (yes, son
of Laurence). The Winter's Tale was directed by David Freeman. Rylance
is the overall Artistic Director of the whole enterprise, but each
production has autonomy to follow the cast and director's vision.
