Subject: Question for the List
My interest is in Shakespeare and food and cooking of the Elizabethan
and early 17th century periods. Does anyone know of any recent books,
cookbooks, or other sources focusing on Shakespeare and food? I'm
familiar with Lowin's _Dining with William Shakespeare_ and a couple of
more recent, less useful cookbooks that purport to be about Shakespeare
and food/cooking. For scholarly reasons, I'm compiling a bibliography of
such sources, and for entertainment purposes (not that the two are
necessarily mutually exclusive) I'm preparing a menu and recipes for a
holiday dinner on this subject for the Culinary Historians of Ann Arbor.
