Subject: Plagiarism in Schools / Colleges

At my school we are about to provide universal internet access to
students aged form 13-18 yrs. Clearly this will offer unrivalled
opportunity for plagiarism! Among other vices! Can members give me
succinct advice on guidelines offered to students of all ages about the
use of internet in assignments. What is the role of teachers in helping
students to handle the resources? We want to evolve a code of practice,
but we very much need to learn from others. Any help gratefully
received. The US is generally ahead of UK in this respect - particularly
at 13-18 yr olds level - and we are very keen to catch up!
