I, too, am very pleased with the Cambridge School Shakespeare Series.
I've been using them for 5 years with my high school seniors, and they
really like them.

Dear Linda: Try reading my article "Teaching Shakespeare: Is There a
Method" in College English, April 1964. This should be helpful. Let me
know what you think of it. Louis Marder This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

I'd like to hear from others about their experiences using the Cambridge
School texts. Do they have a website?

Steve Pedagogowitz

OK. As a high school teacher (and consulting editor of a competing
series, BTW), I run first to the Cambridge School Shakespeare series.
Although unequal, they all work with "real kids." The Hamlet in that
series is probably the single best "teaching out of" book I've used in
over thirty years in the classroom.

They do, indeed, have a web presence. CUP is at:
http://www.cup.cam.ac.uk/ or go straight to the Cambridge School
Shakespeare series at
http://www.cup.cam.ac.uk/Scripts/websearch.asp?type=EXACTSERIES&search=CSH

or try the North American site: http://www.cup.org/ or the CSS pages
http://www.cup.org/ObjectBuilder/ObjectBuilder.iwx?ProcessName=getProducts&Merchant_ID=1&path=/EdDrama/EdCSShk/&Section_ID=80852&page=all&additionalSear
ch=%20&searchCriteria=%20 (That URL may not come up as "clickable," -
find it by going to the http://www.cup.org site and clicking on "Browse
Our Catalogue," then "Education-Drama," and then "Cambridge School
Shakespeare.")
