Subject: What Songs the Sirens Sang

In connection with an article, I am trying to chase down a quote from
Sir Thomas Browne's "RELIGIO MEDICI" . As I recall, it begins "What
songs the sirens sang, and what clothes Ulysses wore when he dwelt
amongst women....." I believe the content of the thought had to do with
such conjectures, their value, the reason for making them et cetera.
Would be tremendously grateful if anyone can rescue this from the
obscurity of my remembrance....

Thanks again,
Harvey Roy Greenberg, MD ENDIT
