Subject: Wakefield Master at City College of New York

Cain and Abel, Noah, and the Second Shepherds Play, three of the
Wakefield Master's plays, will be performed at City College on October
7, 8, and 9, Thursday at 12 and 7, Friday and Saturday at 7. There is no
admission charge.

The plays are directed by Steven Urkowitz, with sets and costumes by
Mary Myers. Music direction is by William Lyon Lee.

Performances are in Aaron Davis Hall, West 134th Street and Convent
Avenue. (Convent Avenue is two blocks east of Broadway. Our historic
campus is located only one hill north of Columbia University.) Easiest
public transport access is by bus to 135th and Amsterdam or from the
Broadway-137th Street stop on the 1 and 9 trains. Because of the hills
leading from Broadway up to Hamilton Heights, the easiest route from the
subway is to walk down Broadway to 135th Street and then east for two
blocks. For drivers, there is free parking behind the theatre: entrance
to that lot at 133rd and Convent. (Thursday noon is a crowded time, so
you may get a space a few blocks away but still within the campus.) The
evening performances will have easy parking close to the theatre.)
Admission is free. For information, please call the Theatre Program
office at 650-6666.
