Subject: Arden Complete Works

Apropos recent discussion of the Arden Shakespeare Complete Works
(Thomas Nelson, 1998), potential buyers might want to note that the
illustration on page 5 labelled "Detail from Wenzel Hollar's engraving
_A Long Bird's-Eye View of London_ ,1647, showing the rebuilt Globe" is
not that picture. It's J. S. Visscher's Londinum Florentiss[i]ma
Britanniae Urbs (Amsterdam 1616) which, as I. A. Shapiro showed
(Shakespeare Survey 1), has no authority whatever.

Picture research for the book is attributed to an entity calling itself
`Image Select'.
