Subject: Hamlet on the Ramparts

The MIT Shakespeare Project has launched a new version of the Hamlet on
the Ramparts Website at http://shea.mit.edu/ramparts/. It includes the
text of the Folger edition of Hamlet 1.4 and 1.5, facsimiles of Folger
and Huntington copies of F1, Q1 and Q2 with transcriptions by Bernice
Kliman, an extensive collection of artwork and illustrations, and film
clips of the scene. There are several new features including the
"Reading Room" where materials may be juxtaposed on screen, tutorials
including "What is a Folio?" and a discussion of a recent Georgia
Shakespeare Festival production of the scene with comments by the
dramaturg, and lesson plans for use in middle and high school
teaching. The site now also includes -- courtesy of the University of
Pennsylvania -- facsimiles of several Hamlet promptbooks and adpatations
from the Furness Collection.
