Subject: Gladiator

In large measure because two family members heard that the movie
"Gladiator" (directed by Ridley Scott, starring Russell Crowe and a cast
of thousands, released May 5) owed something to _Coriolanus_, I ventured
out to the Megaplex to see it. After an on-line search, I have been
unable to find a review or other story that attempts to make or report
this link between the film and the play. (My relatives can't remember
where they heard the connection made either.)

Keeping in mind Hardy's recent, very reasonable, admonition about
maintaining the quality of discussion here, I'm asking for help in
finding the source(s) who made the claim of a connection. Please
respond to directly to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. When I have a chance to digest
whatever I can find, I'll see if I have anything intelligent to say
about it. If others have already considered this issue, I'd be very
interested in what you have to say.

Thank you.
