Andy White asks, re the Almereyda _Hamlet_,

>Were there any comments at the Q&A about Hamlet's taste in

>edition of Brecht and Weill's _Mahogonny_ ...

As I recall, Almereyda said that one of the apartments they borrowed for
the shooting had the books in situ: they belong to the "real" owner of
the place. The cast and crew liked them, so they just left them in. I
don't recall if this was Polonius' apartment, or Hamlet's, or whether
they used different rooms in the same apartment for both.

On a different note, I'm not sure what to make of the comments about the
film's soundtrack. The conditions in Montreal were not happy ones, but
that made for blurry sound, not, necessarily, bad sound. Could someone
who has had problems with the film's soundtrack comment further on what
he/she/they did not like?

Best,
k
