Subject: 12.0329 Question about Julius Caesar
Comment: Re: SHK 12.0329 Question about Julius Caesar

I taught JC at Gr 10 level many times.

I found it useful to teach it as a political work.

Who should run the country: One person such as Caesar? A small group
such as the conspirators? A mob that tears poets to pieces?

Also useful to the students to compare the situation to who should run
the school? One person, the principal? A small group such as the
teachers? A mob of students?

And which bunch of teachers are out to get the principal? I was always
ready to be the noble Brutus but a really good Cassius never did come
along -:)
