Subject: Shakespeare on Cable

Those who are interested in Shakespeare on film should know about the
Turner Classic Movies schedule for March. You can find the monthly
listing on line, personalized to your own time zone:
http://www.turnerclassicmovies.com/31_home.html. I don't have any
affiliation with the channel nor, as far as I know, to the conglomerate
that is AOL-Time Warner Turner.

The schedule has already been wrong (Greed was not on last night, March
1st); but it promises for March 13th the 1996 Branagh Hamlet, listed for
a LBX (letterbox) screening, 242 min. For the trivia buffs following the
Oscar connections through the sequence of movies, the preceding film is
Young Bess (1953). It is followed by That Touch of Mink (1962).

Later in the month are Romeo and Juliet (1936) on the 19th and, on March
20, back to back, Midsummer Night's Dream (1935) and Julius Caesar
