Karen, the Seattle Shakespeare Company (http://www.seattleshakes.org/)
is definitely worth $18-22/ticket! Their production of Hamlet was
brilliant (with the exception of one or two actors) and absolutely
captivated my high school students. The theatre (housed near the Space
Needle) is intimate and gives the audience a sense of being part of the
action. As an actor, I would love to perform in that space with that
company!

If you are interested in doing a little traveling while you are in the
area, the Tacoma Actor's Guild (http://www.tacomaactorsguild.org/) will
also perform Merry Wives. Now, it appears that their run ends prior to
your arrival, but you may be able to catch one of the student matinees
on April 10-13. As a little side note--the artistic director for the
Seattle Shakespeare Company, Stephanie Shine, was recently in TAG's
production of The Beauty Queen of Leenane.

Of course, the real show to see in Seattle from April 6-19 is Peter
Brook's Hamlet with Adrian Lester (http://www.hamletinseattle.com/).
We've had our tickets for awhile, so I don't know about current
availability, but it is worth a try.
