Subject: Appalling
"'Libraries can take up to a year to get their books on the shelves'!
That alone is appalling" -- *sic* Al Magary. If he is also appalled by
the price of Cambridge University Press histories of the book in
England, he will find even more deliciously appalling news when he looks
at the funding levels -- for new book acquisitions; for staff to
catalogue them -- at his very own neighborhood library, whether public
or academic. Here's to more and better informed shock.
Cheers,
Dan Traister
