I seem to recall having some students make one of these several years
ago. It took a long time, but was fairly sturdy when it was done.

In the past I have had some students who made the Globe model that
Perfection Form sold. It was fairly intricate as I recall, but made a
nice, and surprisingly sturdy, replica.
