New at Riverside Theatre: Speed-reading Shakespeare
By Bill DeYoung, entertainment editor
November 21, 2003

The Bard of Avon will probably be rolling in his grave when Riverside
Theatre's new show, "The Complete Works of William Shakespeare
(abridged)," hits its stride.

The show, which opened Thursday night and runs through Dec. 7 on the
Riverside mainstage [in Vero Beach], packs all of Shakespeare's 37 plays
into a little over 90 minutes.

Ron Wisniski, Warren Kelly and Kevin McClarnon play three thespians
charged with racing through the classic oeuvre.

"The premise is that these guys, who are not necessarily real
Shakespearean actors, are getting together to present the complete works
of Shakespeare in abridged form," explains director Peter Bennett. "It's
really a parody of Shakespearean actors, ham actors, theater conventions
and theater in general."

etc.
