Subject: Richard III: Good Man
Richard's determinism (14.1756 et seq) or no may be determined by
attending the RSC's seminar being held 1-4 Oct. Title: "Shakespeare's
Darker Purposes". The session on 3 Oct at 11.30 is, according to the
blurb that arrived this morning, "'In The Psychiatrist's Chair': Richard
III, played by the RSC favourite Henry Goodman, takes the hot seat for
this investigation into the mind of a Machiavellian. Can it really be
all put down to his childhood?"
