The fans of the TV series Angel refer to his sidekicks as MOG, for
Ministers of Grace.

I'm afraid I can't help concerning exact quotations from the era, but
the line does sound almost formulaic. That line bothers me, not because
of its content, but because of its attribution. Besides, it's in a
suspicious spot (first line of a speech), and Q1, Q2, and F all agree on
it. That might be too good to be true. I'd feel more comfortable with
it if it were Horatio's line (particularly since I believe Horatio to be
a priest). If I were doing this (Ha, ha, ha), I might be tempted to
give it to Marcellus, who seems to me to be the most righteous of the
boys (three guards plus Hamlet and Horatio).
