Subject: Goddard & Bradley and Wherefore Preise Thou Claudius
Since I have read a few posts extolling Bradley, can I ask whether
Goddard ranks above or below in your opinions?
And since I have read (with mild amusement and wonder) several posts
sympathetic to Claudius, I would ask whether Hamlet's antagonist is not
the very picture of that manifestation of the principalities and powers
that Bob Dylan had in mind when he wrote that the executioner's hand is
always well-hidden.
I think Claudius is among triumph of WS's endless triumphs, but a good
guy? C'mon.
Cheers, S
