This is interesting. I just browsed a brewery company's web page, where
they display special/limited edition cask ales like 'Winter's Tale, ABV
4.0%, Dark, Citrus and Uplifting, Dark warming brew with a citrus hop
flavour to gladden the heart', 'Little Puck, ABV 3.7%, Light crisp and
floral Mischievous blend of tart malt and cheeky slap of hops' and
'Three Wyches, ABV 4.4%, Triple Hopped for a magical fragrance, A magic
spell of hoppy flavours with a soothing balm of toffee malt and a dry
finish'. Does this give literary scholars/students more good reasons to
go down to the pubs (great marketing strategy)? Or, do you think this
might somehow invite drinkers to be exposed to general knowledge on
Shakespeare and his fascinating influence, even in promoting a certain
commodity?
