Bill Godshalk  wonders how the text of King John in F1 could suggest
performance dates.

Braunmuller (ed.): King John (OUP 1998) notes that F1 'shows
comparatively little evidence of theatre use.' This is supported by that
fact that the first two acts, as they are now usually designated, are
confusingly headed Actus Primus, Sc
