This isn't exactly accurate.  No atheists were executed by either the
Marian or Elizabethan regimes, whereas hundreds of Christians - Puritan
and Catholic - were sent to their death during these two reigns.  We may
not know why Cecil's man Robert Poley killed Marlowe, but we can be sure
it wasn't for his religious views.
