Your daughter could travel up by bus from London (a lot cheaper than
train) OR she could get a cheap flight up to Aberdeen from London (look
on the internet for Ryanair, Easyjet, or Globespan which are the cheap
flights. Also BMI Baby does cheap flights, but make sure that she
doesn't go up to Prestwick if it terminates in Glasgow. The Glasgow
airport is Glasgow.)

Hope this helps,

Dear Don,

Trains go directly from Gatwick Airport into Victoria railway Station in
central London. From there just get onto a London Underground train, on
the Victoria Line, and travel to Kings Cross railway Station, from where
trains leave for Scotland and Aberdeen.

Happy traveling.
