Subject: Derby's Players

I was curious to find out if anyone has put together a list of all the
venues (places, times, a touring schedule, if you will) of the Earl of
Derby's theatre company (Ferdinando, Lord Strange). I'm particularly
interested in knowing where they performed (locally, or possibly even
abroad) from the 1570s through the 1580s. I can find individual
performance references here and there, but I was just hoping to find a
"complete" list somewhere. In addition, does anyone know if
Ferdinando's group was the continuation of an earlier group sponsored by
his family? Or did Ferdinando pretty much start down the theatre road
on his own?

Along these same lines, I realize that many of the actors in the company
probably came and went over the course of a decade or two, so I was also
interested to know if anyone had researched the background of the
company members (if they had been members of other companies previously,
where they had toured in their careers, etc.). I realize the
information about individuals would be sparse, if not entirely
non-existent in most cases, but I am hoping that perhaps someone might
have collected some information along these lines.
