Comment: Re: SHK 17.0011 New Audiovisual Shakespeare Listserv
My thanks to Richard Burt for alerting the SHAKSPER list to the new
ShakespeareAV discussion list. I have one or two points of
clarification. Firstly, the list derives from a project I am heading
(with my colleagues Olwen Terris and Eve Oesterlen) to create an online
database (not a reference book) of all traceable Shakespeare titles on
film, television and radio, with information on distribution or the
location of archive copies. We want the ShakspeareAV listserv to be a
home for debate around issues of audiovisual Shakespeare, as well as
being an alert service for new discoveries, queries, and news on updates
to our project. The first version of the database should be published by
summer 2006, and the finished version in 2008.
To join the list, please don't email me - instead, go to this link and
follow the instructions on how to join the list:
http://www.jiscmail.ac.uk/lists/SHAKESPEAREAV.html
The discussions are already proving valuable (not least owing to
Richard's contributions) and the more who can join, the better. Tell
your friends!
