Comment: RE: SHK 17.0668 Lady Macbeth
John Kennedy identifies Moray Malcolm as possible killer of his uncle
Finlaech (Macbeth's father). Moray Malcolm's brother Gillecomgain, also
implicated in the murder, was burnt to death in 1032 by Malcolm 2
(Macbeth's grandfather) probably in league with Macbeth himself. Macbeth
thereupon helped himself to both Moray and Gillecomgain's widow Gruoch.
Interestingly most major characters in Shakespeare's MACBETH were direct
descendants of Malcolm 1 (d. 954), including Macbeth, his Lady, Duncan,
his sons Malcolm 3 and Donalbain 3, and possibly Macduff.
Just one big feudal Family Feud!
