It was our great good fortune to have Barbara Palmer as one of the
presenters at our special panel on Great Hall Performance last April.
Her work with REED and on performance in the manor houses and guild
halls has informed our Renaissance Center's plans for a replica 16th
century hall as performance laboratory for Renaissance drama. We all
deeply appreciated her as a scholar and a vibrant individual, and she
will be sorely missed.

In order for Americans to get a US tax receipt for their donations to
the Palmer Prize, cheques should be made out NOT to the University of
Toronto (which can issue only issue Canadian tax receipts) but to The
Associates of the University of Toronto. The Associates are based in New
York and are able to issue US tax receipts. All the cheques should be
sent to me (Alexandra Johnston, This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.) and I will
direct them to the proper place.
